Animal Labor

I work at this architecture office in LA. Its a great job that I am quitting right before I leave to tour. I wonder what kind of animal I will be after the tour, and whether or not they allow those kinds of animals in jobs like these.

Funder test 2

Freeway Ride Video 2 ! with New Funderstorm Track!! (!!!)

http://www.crimanimalz.com/

Friday, May 9th, 2008 At 5:30pm starting in Santa Monica, 28 bicyclists took surface streets to the 1-10 Fwy at Bundy and rode 0.44 miles to the I-405 N on-ramp and rode another 1.56 miles to the Santa Monica Blvd. exit. Riders spanned a total of 2.0 freeway miles. The group of riders also hung a 20'x6' banner on the 17th street overpass overlooking the eastbound I-10 Freeway in Santa Monica that read RIDE A BIKE YOU'D BE HOME BY NOW. The sign remained in place for over 48 hours.

This ride alone has hit the public pretty hard since the ride, from coverage by NPR to Digg to Santa Monica Daily Press to Joke Is Up to The Homegrown Evolution and even WIRED.

This video is another stunning work by Richtotheie, who of course NEVER disappoints. He gave exclusive priveleges to Funderstorm to produce all the audio tracks for the video work. This is the second track we've produced for the Crimanimal Freeway series.

Every thing we've been doing pushes LA bicycle culture to a funner level, which in turn pushes the rest of the world to get to a more funnererest level. Let's see this video!

NEW EDITIONS AND UPCOMING PREDICTIONS

DATES ARE ON THE MYSPACE!

1. We have put up all the dates for shows we are trying to book. This seems really daunting, but we did our best to schedule our trip and days around places that we either heard about from friends or read about on the internet, Myspace.
We are soooo excited to even have such an amazing possible tour up. So many DIY houses in the country that we think will be sympathetic to our US bicycle tour.

2. Hey, if you can help us line up a show at any of the listed places please get in touch with us. We want to play with your band at your favorite venue or with your band at the venue in your basement!!!!

3. WEBSITE COMING SOON!!!! We are putting up a super-rad-so-totally-amazing the-most-simple-website-design. Essentially it will be a press kit of a site. Used primarily as a hub for all the links we will be using heavily. Myspace and a future Blogspot are all set up to accomadate two nomadic bicycle bards on this the finest of US quests.

4. If you can provide a backyard/couch/shower in any of the places listed.... you are our new and most favorite of best friends.

Oh, and the predictions:

TRUST!

In so many ways we are exploring the realm of trust for this adventure. We are trusting that we are going to be able to line up a number of shows. We trust that the people in the places we will pass are going to be honest and awesome. We trust that we will get showers We trust that we are fit enough riders to tackle this adventure. We trust that this country can handle the amount of fun we are going to unleash on it. We trust that FUNDERSTORM will be able to set up shows with hardcore bands with expiremental acts, with jazz trios, with bluegrass bands, with noise, with bees and birds and statues. I can only imagine now how many songs we are going to write about the statues we are going to find along the way.

THE FUTURE COULD BE NOW

We have gotten our route list together, and we are ready to book shows across this country. If we have gotten a hold of you for a show and you are wondering if we would be right for your venue... think no longer!!! We are right for any venue. We are FUN-A-HOLICS. Seriously, we try to be FUN navigators for those that don't have enough time to make enough FUN available to them.

There is some serious stuff going on in the World. And you should be aware of how important it is to have AMFAP: As Much Fun As Possible!!!!! So the goal is to spread fun and chanting and awesomeness to everywhere we will be going. I think this is a reasonable goal.

We are really excited to play with hard core punk bands. We think the audiences that will come together for these shows will understand what we got going on really well. Our blast beats come from the amazing time we will provide for you. Our screaming is in the call and response you can't wait to enjoy. Of course we are open to play with any band in any venue...

The tour dates will be coming up as we secure the shows. We hope to play over thirty DIY houses in America. Making friends and sleeping in countless backyards.

Thanks everyone that has put in pointers so far. Please keep the advice coming people. Can't wait to meet you!!

Be real and I'm B-rad.

MAKE MINE FUNDER

First off, if you are reading this, thank you. Secondly, we need all the help we can get to book shows in all the places we are passing. Is there an all ages venue or a house venue in your area that you play at? We are open to all ideas and also playing with bands of all genres. We are looking to make friends and spread the message of fun.

WE WILL NEED TO HAVE A PA OR BORROW TWO GUITAR AMPS FOR THE SET!?!?!? If neither of these are available we can still try to work something out. Seriously, we really appreciate any feedback about this.

We are doing this all ourselves. No label, no booking agent, no support vehicles. We started FUNDERSTORM 9 months ago with the intent to play the underground bicycle rides that happen in LA every week. We have always kept it as simple as possible in order to play in the most awesome locations we could find. Tunnels underneath the 10 freeway, rooftops of Best BUY & other houses, the desert, late night park shows, abandoned parking lots in Hollywood.
With a deep cycle battery we power two JBL Eons. Skid Marxzz unleashes a monstrous thunder from the most unassuming of instruments: a One Man Jam 2:

OG-C-ID-B-RAD-USA!!! delivers chants-rants-and call-&-response in varying levels of pain/love and always with the best intentions in mind: 2 Microphones

FREEDOM CHECK is the next logical step to take with FUNDERSTORM. A bike fest to make contact with as many music scenes in America as possible.

THNX THNX THNX THNX THNX THNX THNX THNX THNX!!!!
